Long term Parents' Federation activist Elaine Gee was recently awarded the Bouquet of the Week by the Western Mail and Echo in recognition of her efforts to improve the lives of disabled people and their carers. .

Putting Families First

The Parents Federation is part of a consortia that aims to help families with a disabled child or young adult aged up to 25 but not receiving a social worker input or support.

Riverside Advice Centre has a wide range of services for people on low income to assist them with maximising their income and challenging unfair decisions

 

Accommodation Event well attended

Over 50 carers attend recent Parents' Federation event

 

 

 

Our recent event that 'showcased' the diverse housing and accommodation options available to people with a learning disability was well attended with over 50 carers enjoying a morning crammed full of information. Speakers from a variety of providers and agencies explained how different housing options were available, ensuring that all people. regardless of needs, could have a support package designed to enable them to live within their communities.
